Betzy Vazquez, born in Puerto Rico where he started in radio at the young age of 15. Without having any experience, her first radio show was middays in one of the most important stations of Puerto Rico, becoming an instant hit amongst the listeners, while she continued her studies at night. After various jobs in different stations in Puerto Rico (WAPA Radio, Yunque 93, Gigante 103FM y la X-100FM), she went on to become the manager of the promotions department helping cultivate relations with very important brands in Puerto Rico, while being the official voice of the station. Throughout her career in Puerto Rico, she also ventured into television where she hosted TV shows on Televicentro Puerto Rico, and Channel 4. She was also the host of “The Noon Show, Hello WAPA” WAPA TV.
In 2003, Betzy made the decision to move to Orlando, Florida taking over the midday show on Mega 98.1FM, almost instantly becoming the number 1 radio host in her time slot, and earning the nickname “La Gatita”. Making her one of the most important radio figures in central Florida including on local television. In May of 2008, La Gatita moved to South Florida where she recently celebrated her 25thyear in broadcasting and is still delighting her audience daily on WXDJ EL Zol 106.7FM “EL Vacilon de La Gatita” from 6AM to 11AM.
Betzy Vazquez “La Gatita” is a model, actress, entrepreneur, socialite and host of the number 1 Hispanic radio morning show in South Florida “El Vacilon de La Gatita”. Born on April 04th, 1974 in Puerto Rico, Betzy is the proud mother of two beautiful and successful daughters. If Betzy is not volunteering her time in the different communities in South Florida and helping bring awareness to needs of her listeners, she is hard at work teaching young woman at her Modeling Academy. In July of 2013, La Gatita launched a very successful fitness initiative “Ponte en Forma con La Gatita” where she hosted a weekly Zumba and Boot Camp workouts throughout South Florida and brought awareness of staying fit and eating healthy. She made sure that this initiative was completely free of charge for the communities. For all that she has done in South Florida, The City of Hialeah issued a Proclamation that the day April 04this “El Dia de La Gatita en Hialeah”. A great honor that she proud of.
Angela Calderon, executive editor of Imagen Magazines, was born in Cali, Colombia and although she studied law, she has always loved the world of communications, and Angela feels strongly that this is a way to help others. At the time of thinking about the birth of what she considers her greatest dream, she realized that it all started when she came to the United States in search of new opportunities and the “American Dream”. Angela recalls it was like starting over, searching for a home, a job, where to shop for the best prices, find the best quality products, a good school for her son; and finally things to do. If you don’t speak English, it becomes a little more difficult; therefore she gave herself the task of seeing how she could help new migrants make their transition easier. With this idea, Imagen Magazines was born.
Gradually, through her experiences, studies, research and keeping an active communication with her readers, Imagen Magazines has increased its content, adding the involvement of professionals who give their advice on the legal side, health, fashion, beauty, finances and highlighting positive events that arise in the community.
Now that her dream come true, Imagen Magazine has become one of the most sought Magazines to find accurate and timely information. The promise of this publication is to continue working for the community, continue to grow now as a family business, conformed by Alejandro Rendon, who is responsible for the design and appearance of the magazine, and Mandy Llanes who arrived to strengthen the family and Imagen Magazines, always supported by the best team.
Angela enjoys the opportunity that is presently provided by Imagen Magazine to provide various community meetings that promote and provide comfort for men and women of our Hispanic community. She also devotes a great amount of her time to the Foundation “Mujer Imagen”, which she instituted with her life partner Mandy Llanes, for the purpose of projecting themselves socially within the community and benefit women entrepreneurs, that want to achieve success of your business by helping them achieve economic support for themselves and their families, and créate job opportunities in the community.
Susanlee Forty, Born December 19, 1995 and raised in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. In 2003 she moved to Florida, first to the city of Orlando and then in 2008 to the city of Miami where she is currently residing. Susanlee always showed interest in the world of modeling and entertainment since a very young age, she would always accompany her mother to all of the activities of Radio & TV. A graduate of John Ferguson Senior High School, with over 1,000 hours of community service and certified veterinary assistant. In 2008 she enters the world of modeling, fulfilling one of her lifelong dreams, walking the catwalk and becoming a professional model, by enrolling in Talent and Model Group (TMG).
Susanlee has modeled for major designers like Rosita Hurtado, Emilio Uribe, Henry Mezza, Fernando Wong, Sira D’Pion among many others. She was also one of the models for Concolor, in the Colombia Expo. In her career, she has participated in 9 beauty pageants in which she has won 6. 2013 Orlando’s Perfect Teen, 2013 Miss Citrus Teen Miami, 2013 Miss Miami Summer, 2013 Miss Candy Girl, 2014 Miss Miami VIP, and the most recent Miss Hispanic Int. USA 2014. Among all of the pageants, Miss Hispanic Int. USA 2014 has been one of her proudest moments since she had the honor of representing her native island, Puerto Rico.
Susanlee is currently involved in activities that help the community. She is currently representing the foundation “Mujer Imagen” in an effort to help women entrepreneurs and head of the household. Susanlee is a second-year law student working on two associates, “Associate of Arts in Pre-Law” and “Associate in Science degree in Paralegal”. Her high GPA has given her the student and is currently a member of the honor society at Miami Dade College. Susanlee proudly represents the Youth and Latina women of today.
